MONDAY MORNING

"Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:58

This week we are:

Celebrating ….

Splitting, cleaning up, and stacking wood in the meadow area. A few members of a young adult overnight camping group graciously assisted a handful of others with the project.
Fall colors continue. And Sarah Leach (hospitality staff) celebrated her 50th birthday!

Working ….

Final preparations take place for our upcoming women's fall retreat this weekend (36 women signed up).

Praying ….

A number of planning meetings take place this week in preparation for an upcoming board meeting in November.

This week's quotation and question for response:

Quotation:

"The first service that one owes to others in the fellowship consists of listening to them."

Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Life Together

Question:

Bonhoeffer (convening a small community of students living together) also warned that people who stop listening to others will, sooner or later, stop listening to God as well. Who are you actively listening to right now?

Grace & Peace,

Doug
