Today's Youth for Tomorrow's Challenges
Youth are faced with great challenges...
Youth are pushed by today's culture of "freedom" to pursue their individuality. But too often, this striving after autonomy creates more bondage than freedom.
Seventy percent of today's church youth drop out from church involvement; and only half of them will ever return. They must navigate a treacherous maelstrom of social inconsistencies and countless deadly temptations. Intervention is needed.
Youth to Adult ministries (Y2A) facilitates mentoring relationships between High school juniors and seniors and loving, godly men and women, built around activities where these future leaders can deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.
In the context of safe relationships, Bible Study, service, and discussion, young people develop a sense of purpose and discover how their individual gifts can empower them to respond to God’s call.
In the context of meaningful interaction, youth can find relevance and integrity in today’s world.
We prepare youth to face those challenges with confidence in themselves, manifested in Christ's resurrection power.
Draw upon experienced Christian leaders and college professors to communicate relevant cultural, personal and social imperatives from a Christ-focused perspective.
Enable youth to grow spiritually through intergenerational discipleship.
Allow youth to experience supportive Christian community, to prepare them to seek out the body of Christ wherever they are called.
Provide Bible study to deepen faith, and to encourage personal application of scriptural truths and Christian principles.
Teach servant leadership as a viable and effective way to offer healing to a broken world.
By partnering with the local church, young people...
Discover self-worth and confidence, tempered with humility, and strengthened with teachability.
Find strength to withstand threats to their individual core values and goals.
Learn to recognize and evaluate the experiences, challenges and temptations common to youth; and in so doing, they gain tools for establishing personal boundaries that will help them avoid destructive situations.
Become prepared to relate with their peers with integrity and strong core values, while remaining adaptable and teachable.
